Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, August 13th, 2014 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. (TWSE: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today announced its second quarter consolidated financial results in 2014. The consolidated net sales from April to June in 2014 totaled NT$2,406 million, an increase of 41.0% compared to last quarter and 1.7% compared to the same period in 2013. The consolidated gross margin for the second quarter in 2014 was 42.0%. The consolidated net income after tax from April to June in 2014 totaled NT$253 million, and the consolidated earnings per share was NT$0.34 based on the outstanding 588,434,923 shares on June 30th, 2014.
The consolidated net sales from January to June in 2014 totaled NT$4,112 million, a decrease of 0.1% compared to the same period in 2013. The consolidated gross margin for the first half in 2014 was 40.8%. The consolidated net income from January to June in 2014 totaled NT$253 million, and the consolidated earnings per share was NT$0.35 based on the outstanding 588,434,923 shares on June 30th, 2014.
