Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, July 07, 2009 - Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd. ("Sunplus" or "the Company") (TAIEX: 2401, LSE: SUPD) today announced that monthly net sales for June 2009 totaled NT$588 million, an increase of 1.99% compared to last month and a decrease of -12.82% compared to the same month in 2008. The major cause of year-on-year decrease was that net sales on others in June 2008 included IP licensing fees from Silicon Image. But net sales on multimedia IC for June 2009 increased 14.15% compared to the same month in 2008.

Net sales for January through June 2009 totaled NT$2,658 million, a decrease of -22.58% compared to the same period in 2008. Due to the demands on consumer products went up again, the second quarter revenues grew up with a leap, an increase of 86.05% compared to first quarter.

Sunplus' investor conference of second quarter in 2009 will be held in 202 Meeting Room of the Association of Industries in Hsinchu Science Park at 15:00PM on Wednesday, July 29th, 2009.
