Single Chip JPEG/MPEG A/V Processor

SPHE8104S A/V Decoder is a cost effective single chip integrated SoC with high resolution JPEG decoder for photo viewing. In addition to JPEG decode, it also integrates a MPEG-1/-2/-4 A/V decoding engine, a MPEG-2 Transport Demultiplexer, a 2-channel audio DAC, a 4-channel multi-format TV encoder and on-chip RTC (Real-Time Clock).

SPHE8104S performs not only JPEG photo decode, but also other photo functions offered, such as slide show, thumbnail, rotation, or with audio. Meanwhile, real-time decoding and playback of MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 from SD/MMC/Memory Stick/Memory Stick Pro memory card or USB2.0 Mass Storage Device are provided as well. Besides video processing, it also supports MPEGI/II Layer 1/2/3, PCM and LPCM audio playback and hardware-accelerated JPEG decoding. The TV-encoder supports CVBS, S-video output.

Development tools of SPHE8104S include complete compiler tools, programming guide and system application libraries.
