Sunplus has DSC chips from high resolution to low resolution such as 4M, 3M, 2.1M, 1.3M, 350K and 100K. Not only the product quality but also the technical capability has been qualified by worldwide digital camera brand names, Sunplus provides its chip solutions to ODM, OEM and OBM manufacturers worldwide.

The 4Mp DSC chip is a highly integrated SoC. It supports not only the high quality CCD image sensor but also the power saving CMOS image sensor. It has build-in Auto White Balance, Auto Focusing and Digital Zooming features. 3-in-1 image processing technology enables the camera to be a Video Camera, Digital Still Camera and PC Camera. Users may choose different resolutions to take photos. TFT LCD, TV video output, memory cards and USB interfaces are also supported.

The price-performance ratios of Sunplus' DSC chips are quite competitive compared with the competitors' solution. And there were significant cost down from key components of DSC such as image sensors, flash memory, optical lenses and color LCDs. The DSC retail prices are acceptable to more consumers that will drive higher market growth in 2002. Per IT IS forecast there will be 19% growth YoY in 2002, with the market size of US$9.8 billions.
